PSC is launching the JC Internship Programme this November/December 2008, to offer JC students the opportunities to better understand the challenges of working in the civil service. Sign up now to find out what it’s like to work in the Civil Service!
Internship duration
The internship will take place during the school holidays, i.e. May-June, November to December. Depending on the project, the internship is likely to range from two to four weeks. However, students who are keen to do a longer stint are welcome to make separate arrangements with the ministries.
Internship allowance
JC1 Students will be given an internship allowance of S$440 per month, while students who have completed their GCE “A” Levels will be given S$600 per month.
What Can You Expect from the Internship?
Challenging Projects
You may be involved in a mini research project, or be part of a team doing an environmental scan of a particular aspect of public policies. One thing for sure, the projects will be varied, exciting and challenging!
Experiential Journeys
You will attend an orientation prior to the start of the internship. You will have the opportunity to interact with senior public service leaders and engage in active dialogue on public policy issues. You may also get a chance to sit in at important meetings!
